Relaxed, creative shoots taken – for the most part – in natural light at a variety of area locations in Central Maine. I suggest locations, or you pick! An extra charge will be applied if your location is more than 40 miles from the WTVL, ME area.
Consider such ideas as retro, sporty, modern, nautical, rural, urban, elegance, and I look for laughter, natural beauty, and portrayals of love, family, and friends.
I encourage multiple clothing changes. Several outfits in different, preferrably solid color, options are encouraged as well as props.
Props: Originality is essential. I keep very few props on hand, instead I recommend you bring items that define your own personal uniqueness. For example: pets, friends, rainboots, hats, scarfs, sporting accessories, musical instruments, umbrellas, jackets, fancy jewelry, fun ties, stylish socks or shoes, etc.
Makeup: Ladies, use a light cover-up to reduce natural darkness under the eyes and minimize blemishes. Foundation along with a little powder will reduce shine. Add a touch of blush for color. A little makeup for your eyes and lips will make them look their best and accent your features. Use black mascara and natural colors for eyes and lips, avoid anything too frosty and shiny.
Glasses: If you wear glasses feel free to bring them with you. Portraits can be taken both with and without them. Eye glass glare can be removed digitally but it is difficult and at times, impossible to look “unnoticeable.” If the lenses are removable, this might be best.
Upon request and requiring extra time and possibly an extra fee, photos can be edited for blemishes, stray hair, and teeth whitening. Also, black and white or sepia can be applied.
I offer within reason, unlimited poses. I will upload your images onto a CD or DVD, do some basic editing and selection of the best images and the CD/DVD is yours to keep! You get the originals as a forever keepsake, no need to go through an expensive photographer for pricey reprints. Viewing and printing your own digital images is simple and cuts costs as you print only the images that you love most. This is a great, cost efficient alternative, providing flexibility for more poses at a lower cost to you.
